Take a virtual tour of our facilities and capabilities.
(Sorry, but there is a lot going on at our company and this may take a few minutes to load.)
Program Management
Experienced,
technically oriented, Program Managers are assigned at the start of a tooling
program to provide full-service support to customers. Program Managers
represent customer needs and concerns, and are involved with every step of a project.
Atlas Tool's full-service approach offers customers a choice of any or all of
these services:
Process Development
Design
Prototype Parts
Sub-supplier Management
Computer Aided Manufacturing
Machining
Tool Construction
Tryout
Automation and Automation Tryout
Inspection and Quality Control
Service Parts or Short Production Runs
Installation and Production Support
Process Development
The latest technologies are used to provide comprehensive
process development, die development, metal forming simulation, and production animation simulation.
This assures the production capability of our customers.

Prototype Parts
Prototype parts to suit customer objectives, from simple hand-made parts to completely tooled
prototype programs that verify manufacturing processes. Parts are cut using two 6-axis, 1,700 watt laser systems.
Machining
Atlas Tool has a wide variety of machining equipment, capable of holding close tolerances,
with up to 5 axes. Maximum feed rates: 600 inches/minute (15,000 mm/min). Unlimited weight capacity.
Atlas Tool has a well trained, highly skilled and motivated group of diemakers in its tool
construction bays. Tools are built using the "SMIRT Die Shop" solid computer model viewing system, blueprints are no longer
required. Atlas Tool was the first company to implement this technology. ("SMIRT Die Shop" is a registered trademark or Smirtware, Inc.)
Tryout
We have versatile press equipment, from 200 to 2,500 tons and up to 236 inches (6,000 mm).
Our press equipment is designed to simulate our customers' production conditions.
We have sliding bolsters for quick die change, and a robotic automation line for pre-production
and service part runs.
Atlas Tool's modern inspection methods offer complete statistical process control, CMM point data,
and rapid surface scanning capability. Our CMM's have a capacity up to 240 inches (6 meters).
Experience and versatility make Atlas Tool a competitive company for a wide variety of parts. We can provide
complete tooling, prototype parts or program management for complete vehicle systems. Our typical workload
includes outer body panels, inner body panels, reinforcements, structural parts, and progressive die parts.
Complete Assemblies
Atlas Tool has worked with customers to supply tools or prototype parts for complete assemblies, modules, or entire
vehicle tooling programs. Our experience at integrating individual parts provides customers with smooth new model launches.
